These began as discarded prints — gel plate experiments left on the table when a session ended. Something in me couldn't throw them away.
So I kept layering. Gesso, color, handwriting that isn't meant to be read so much as felt. Then a rose, finger-painted until it stopped being a mark and became a thing. The leaves are torn from a watercolor painting on rice paper, collaged on by hand. Each one took its own direction. None of them match exactly.
That's the point.
Keep one for yourself. Write a name on the back of the others — just a name, or a date, or nothing at all — and let them go.
