Fingerpainting: A Primer (filmed 2023)*

This is a recording, not a live session. When you purchase it, it's yours to return to.
Three anniversary cards, made in real time with acrylic paint and bare hands. No brushes. No plan. Just paint, fingers, and whatever was still wet on my hands when I moved to the next one.
The first card took the longest. You can see me fiddling. It was for my husband, and I wanted it to look right — which is exactly the wrong thing to want when you're finger painting. The second card went faster. The third card is my favorite. It took about ten minutes and I liked it most because by then I'd stopped caring whether it was good. That's not a coincidence.
There's technique in here — how to build a background, why I reach for white, what the paper towel actually does. But technique isn't what this video is teaching. What it's teaching is what happens when you stop adjusting everything and let some of it just appear.
You don’t need anything to begin.
